Dr. Quinn’s Story

While a student of anthropology, Dr. Quinn became interested in ethnobotany, exploring the use of medicinal plants in traditional cultures, and began studying botanical medicine at that time. After earning her undergraduate degree, she trained as a medical assistant with holistic physicians in Ann Arbor, studied homeopathic medicine, and took pre-medical courses in preparation for Naturopathic medical school. Dr. Quinn graduated from NCNM in Portland, Oregon in 2005 and returned to her hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan where she founded Naturopathic Women’s HealthCare. Dr. Quinn specialized in women’s health, endocrinology and chronic illness, using therapeutic nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy and hydrotherapy. In 2012 Dr. Quinn and her colleagues at the Hygeia Center for Healing Arts formed a new vision of a healthcare center that would include naturopathic medicine and many other modalities and therapies. Dr. Quinn is a visionary and founder of the Hygeia Center for Healing Arts where she continues to offer these naturopathic services.

Dr. Quinn previously practiced at the Integrative Medicine department at Beaumont Hospital from 2009-2013 with a specialty in naturopathic oncology, cardiovascular and metabolic health.  She served as President of the Michigan Association of Naturopathic Physicians from 2007 to 2011, as Legislative Chair until 2012, and continues working to advance the Naturopathic profession in the state of Michigan.  She is currently a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
